Eric Elronde, CEO and founder of The Angel Gown Initiative, repurposes old wedding dresses and formal gowns into beautiful Angel Gowns for infants who do not survive their journey into this world. At a time of utmost grief and sorrow, an Angel Gown is a small but deeply meaningful way to alleviate some of a family’s difficulties and great sadness. The Angel Gown Initiative assists bereaved families with an important practical issue: how to provide a passed infant with the greatest dignity and grace. All Angel Gowns are hand-made and are a free donation. Donations are made to hospitals where grieving families are being assisted.

The Angel Box Initiative (TABI), was founded in August 2017 by Dr Jacqui Miller. Through her own experience of child loss and engaging with others, she recognised the need for more emphasis on the families who are touched by miscarriage, stillbirth and infant death. This time of loss is extremely challenging for the families who are grief-stricken and overwhelmed. The Angel box guides parents in capturing memories and keeping their angels memory alive. The box contains a hand and foot printing kit, baby wash and a towel to bath baby, a notebook and a container for a lock of their hair.
TABI aims to donate an Angel Box to every family whose little one does not make it to their earthly home.

TABI partners with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) and Amanda Dean from Big Hearts for Little Feet who crochets hats and blankets. The Angel boxes are distributed by a group of bereavement doulas under the umbrella of Mama Nurture.

It is our goal to provide mommies who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss with a hope box. A hope box is a personally hand decorated box which contains gifts, treats and resources. The box expresses love, provides support and points mommies to Jesus who can help them grieve and restore their hope.

These mommies are invited to box decorating days where they can join other hope mommies to find fellowship and support, making their grief journey less lonely.
